2006 Seminars
  •  Unmounted Work

Horse people have always known the tremendous benefits of having a horse in your life. It is hard work but also richly rewarding. Sometimes you get to share your horse, but often there are safety concerns for non-riding friends and they can only watch, or it is an private experience that is simply too difficult to describe with words.

Stories, whether published or told slowly over a meal are a reasonable substitute. A number of good stories have become movies recently, and reached an even larger audience. Both Seabiscuit and The Horse Whisperer have helped us to understand the delicate proposition of being with a horse. This perception, joined with an understanding of just how important it is to be aware and connected with the delicate world that we live in has given shape to the specific work of interacting with a horse, specifically for the purpose of gaining a better understanding of human behavior.

Heart’n Hand Farm was created to feature this work and is pleased to offer the following seminars in 2006. These events do not involve riding. Hands-on ground work and awareness exercises are the focus and full extent of the work.
